Final Reflection

In my research to find out what I need to do to become a better bowler ,I found out alot . As anyone who enjoys bowling knows , you need the basics , shoes ,and a ball . Shoes are pretty much easy , just make sure its for left or right handed bowlers if necessary ,most are standard. After having your shoes, you need to learn your approach , a standard four steps is used by most people . Besides the approah you need to concentrate on keeping your wrist locked, A nice back swing following thru crossing your mark on the alley. To a novice , this could be confusing , but not to a seasoned bowler .

The actual research leads me to ball types , and lane conditions . Their are four types of balls , each with its own special traits . balls come in various pounds ranging from eight to sixteen . Plastic balls are the cheapest, they have strait trajectory, a good beginner ball or spare ball. Urethane , this ball hooks more , its good for bowler learning to throw a hook . Reactire Resin, its tackier than urethane so it's hook potential increases . this ball does skid on oil, it has a stronger hooking ability on dry boards , a bigger reaction for striking power. this typeis used by most experienced bowlers on most lane contitions .Particle is the last type , a power full reactive resin . It has particles of ceramics, glass and resin to give more grip on oil for a smooth , controlled hook. This type is only good on oily lanes.

There are five different types of oil patterns that are used .The hardest to bowl on is the Scorpion , it's an unpredidictable pattern ,it demands a direct line to the pocket pro's even struggle on it .Viper ,players must attack from angles to soore . Scoring is medium to high on this pattern . Cheetah , a medium to high scoring pattern , best chance is to play near the gutter , this doesn't leave room for error . Shark ,the longest pattern, it forces bowlers to play inside the center of the lane .High scoresresult from this pattern . Finally , Charmeleon ,bowlers must be versitile to score well . Oil is placsd in strips so bowlers have to play in certain zones to soone well.

The final thing to improving my bowling would be to pick up spares . It takes plenty of practice to learn where to throw the ball to conuert a spare . A single pin spare, a ten pin spare , the chop , and sleepers , the bucket , clothesline , all names of second ball atempts . Of course you need to aeroid throwing a split , the baly split , the large splits 4-6-7-10 or the worst the 7-10 , thats a 1000 to 1 odds for a pro.
