Group Blog Response
At first our group couldnt really decide on a genre. But after fighting for a little bit we decided to settle with mystery because it felt like a good topic. We think that people are drawn to mystery because of all the great mystery stories they read growing up. One example being "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe. We believe that when people read mysteries ( just like with any genre) they allow themselves to escape reality for a little bit. The only thing different about mystery is that for a moment you become a detective and get the oppurtunity to solve a puzzling story as if it were your own.
